Library Journal Review

Lonely Planet's well-traveled writers, bloggers, and staffers have cataloged 500 "memorable eating experiences" that delight the taste buds and offer a sense of the history and cultural heritage of individual locations. Readers can salivate over som tum from a street vendor in Bangkok or shrimp and grits in Charleston, SC. Specific restaurant addresses are given in some cases, and an index by country is helpful. Entries range from a paragraph to a page, with many mouthwatering photos. VERDICT With so many selections, there's a savory or sweet for just about everyone. Beautiful eye candy, ideal for any public library. © Copyright 2019. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
